KiP@Maninplace Homelessness Triage Worker
27.5 hrs per week  Ref: KTW27

Context

Due to an increased demand on the KiP service, we are recruiting a self-motivated and positive individual to work on the frontline of our homelessness services, you will be the first face customers see as they enter the KiP@Maninplace front door.  You will provide a warm and friendly welcome that brings some reassurance and ease during a time of uncertainty and despair.   


Providing a first response to visitors and callers, you will play an integral part of ensuring this busy service operates efficiently and quickly, responding at the point of need and helping to reduce rough sleeping due to homelessness.

Hours of work

27.5 hours per week based on working shifts of 9:30-15:00 Mon - Fri


Salary & benefits

A fixed term 12-month contract with immediate start available.
£8.76 per hour with the addition of annual leave entitlement and work-based pension scheme.

Qualifications & experience

Qualifications in Maths and English at GCSE level, experience call handling, reception work or similar customer facing environments would be advantageous.

Location of work

Working at the KiP@Maninplace walk-in centre in Wellington, Telford.

Job summary

To provide a calm, friendly and positive welcome to all customers and visitors entering the building.  You will answer incoming telephone enquiries from customers and professionals contacting the service, assisting with the booking of appointments and giving out basic service information.  Where appropriate, you will identify the need to issue emergency food and hygiene packs to those currently rough living who present at the reception area, ensuring any further support needs are identified and fed through to the KiP@Maninplace support team.
